The Slow ‘N Sear Plus is a revolutionary new kettle grill accessory allowing you to maximize cooking styles on your kettle grill while making it simple and easy to use.  Its patented design allows you to cook at low ‘n slow temperatures (225 F),  high-heat sear (1000+ F), or anything in between effortlessly – and all with the same device.  There’s no need to buy a dedicated smoker – you can have it all with the Slow ‘N Sear!

What makes the Slow ‘N Sear special?

The charcoal basket holds a chimney-full of coals and keeps them away from the side of the kettle.  The basket holds more than twice as much fuel as a standard charcoal basket – you can cook for over 8 hours without needing to refill charcoal.  But more importantly the basket helps keep heat inside the kettle so you’re not warming up the air outside the grill.  This means more efficient fuel burn and your kettle will be less sensitive to ambient conditions (less babysitting the grill).

The integrated water reservoir spans the length of the charcoal basket acting as a thermal barrier between the coals and the indirect side of the grill.  When filled with water (it holds one quart) it generates consistent steam at low ‘n slow temperatures providing moisture for smoke adherence and a humid environment that keeps temperatures stable.

  1. 5 out of 5 Just What I Needed

    Lou Davidson

I’ve been using the Slow N Sear Plus with the Drip N Griddle and Easy Spin Grate for about six months. I’ve smoked baby backs, spare ribs and pork shoulder. I’ve grilled burgers, fillets, rib eyes, flank steaks, strip steaks, whole spatchcock chicken and chicken wings. These products have made all of my other grilling equipment (a patio full) obsolete.
It smokes better than my smoker and grills better than any of my other grills. The products are very well designed and very well made. This stuff is thick, heavy stainless and built to last. The design of the basket is very effective at creating a scorching hot sear zone. It can also smoke for 6 hours, more steady than my smoker. It is also easier to replenish with fuel, smoke wood and water. The water trough design works very well and holds enough water for 2 to 3 hours. I haven’t cooked anything on the griddle yet but I like the versatility. It does do a good job as a drip pan for the indirect heat side of the grill. I like the grate and like to remove the hinged side when smoking so I can pile the fuel and wood high and replenish easier.
This is the perfect setup allowing for indirect cooking followed by a high temp sear in the same grill. I am completely satisfied with every aspect of this product and couldn’t imagine going back to life without one. It has elevated my cooking and has me trying new recipe’s and techniques. They seem like a good company and I enjoy the informational videos and posts.

  2. 5 out of 5 Just too great not to purchase

    Stuart Katz

I have been amazed with the results os my SnS Plus. It works great and I have done everything from ribs, to chicken, beef short ribs to a whole turkey. The juicyness of the meat and quick cook times are wonderful. I put charcoal on the bottom of my chimney and then briquettes. Get a great cook temperature, and wonderful flavor. I must be doing something wrong, because I don’t get crispy fowl skin.

    Roland Hamann

I bought you combo package and couldn’t be more pleased with the products. Our favorite pizzas are made on the Drip N Griddle on our gas grill. Crust comes out perfect every time. Cooked a tough looking chuck roast using the Slow N Sear. It was fabulous and amazingly tender. Slow N Sear spacecock chicken was the best we’ve eaten. You you tube videos are very helpful and easy to understand. Great recipes and easy to follow instructions. You product may appear a little pricey but are worth every penny. Stainless steel makes them very durable and a snap to clean.

Slow N Sear Plus works as it is advertised. I have been smoking Pork butts, Beef Plate Ribs, Pork Ribs, Briskets and Pork Belly for years in an offset smoker. Over the years of trail and error and modifications I can keep a consistent temp. at 225 or any temp I want to keep it at. Starting with charcoal and constantly feeding the smoker with wood all day long.
With the Slow N Sear I started the charcoals in on corner filled the rest of the chamber with charcoal, put water in and 3 pieces of wood across the top of the charcoal and 8 or 9 hours later it still maintains a consistent 225 temp. after 9 hours I add more charcoal. For larger cooks I will still us my offset smoker, but for 1 brisket or a pork butt I will use the slow N sear. This is the way to go if you are cooking smaller amounts of meat that will fit on a Weber grill. The cold side method of cooking steaks really works well too. Allows you to cook steaks to your choice of doneness and they are still juicy. This product is great !

I bought this for my adult son for his birthday and he loves it and we are so happy to get invited over to his place for dinner. I also bought the drip griddle pan at the same time. It is working great for him and he is slow cooking everything on his Weber because of these two accessories. I don’t know any of the technical stuff but all I can say is the proof of the success of this product is that everyone is happy to get an invitation for lunch or dinner at my son’s place.

This is an amazing, simply amazing, product. If you own a Weber kettle, you must have some version of this. I’vedone Baby back ribs, pork shoulder, spatchcocked chicken and turkey (all turned out excellent, per all eaters present) and it has made my older Weber kettle my new go to grill (though I still love my WSM to be sure.). This. Is. A. Must. Have. IMO

I think it is great. I have smoked a small brisket, a rib-eye roast, chicken legs, & reverse seared many steaks now. I’ve had it since mid-November. I reuse more charcoal yet still get over 500 degrees when the Weber is opened up for searing. Oh, it is just so great!

  16. 5 out of 5 Indispensable; will transform your grill

    Rick K

All the hype is not hype–the SnS is great. For a traditional indirect cook, and compared to dumping coals onto the fire grate, the SnS requires less charcoal to produce a hotter, longer-lasting fire, better insulation between the fire and the void side, and an outstanding sear. It’s well engineered, solidly built, and easily worth the money. I haven’t tried low and slow yet, but I’m sure I’ll be equally happy with that. Buy the Drip n Griddle, too; I received both for Christmas and they work well in combination to (1) direct airflow to the SnS to optimize the fire and (2) keep your grill clean. My only regret is that Dave Parrish invented it and I didn’t.

4 out of 5 Great for 2 zone cooking - smoking...???

    Cy

I love the 2 zone cooking that is shorter in duration. The long cooks required of smoking 10 lb pork butts is another matter. I have used a couple different brands of briquets, including Weber but the small squares at the bottom clog and restricts airflow. This becomes a very high maintenance affair with wide temp fluctuations. Kind of wish I’d not gotten the ‘plus’. I think the wide open base would improve performance. Will try lump charcoal next I guess. Or, cut some golf ball sized ‘vents’ on the bottom of the SNS Plus. Love the concept. Not prepared to give up.

I was just about to write the same comment as Cy. I too wonder if the basic isn’t better for the long burn I’ve only used it twice however ash build up has been a problem/concern and I have tried to best align with the lower charcoal grate. I will give it a shake or 2 next time before I open up the holes..

      Adrenaline Barbecue Company

Cy, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. After 5-6 hours, it’s not uncommon to need to shake out any accumulated ash to prevent restricting airflow. A quick stir of the coals or a shake to the Slow ‘N Sear is all it takes. If you’re finding that you need to tend to the ash sooner than that, check the orientation of the charcoal grate and make sure it’s not creating additional blockage of the holes.

I had considered getting rid of my Weber until I bought this. Slow N’ Sear has transformed my grill and made it extremely versatile. Long smokes at a consistent temp are easy now. I can maintain a temp of 225°f for about 5 hrs with very little tending of the grill. In love with my Weber again.

I have the slownsear plus for my 22.5 inch and the XL for my 26. I love the slownsear it is the only way cook on the grill now . Low n slow is so much easier. And the revers sear technique is the best . I have called and emailed with questions and got prompt responses and enjoyed speaking with Dave. I have cooked rib roast, spatchcocked turkeys, tritip, chicken, burgers , ribs, pork shoulder. And using the slownsear has produced the best grilled food that I have cooked I have Ben cooking with Weber grills for 20 plus years and wish that I found the slownsear a lot sooner. Griddle drip pan will be my next purchase.

  32. 4 out of 5 Wish I would have gotten the standard

    David Mitchell

Works fantastic for holding low and slow and searing, but searing area is small. Too good
Sizes ribeyes will choke off airflow. I wish I would not have gotten the “plus”. The built in grates are easy to get cross crossed with the Weber cooking grate and just about cut off airflow, which caused an issue cooking a turkey I couldn’t get up to temp. I don’t use lump and don’t reuse much coal, so I would probably have been happier with the slow and sear without a bottom. Fantastic product- one star without for grates being too restrictive in the plus.

  34. 5 out of 5 Great product

    Dave K

A great example of something designed to only do a few things but do them extremely well. Perfect fit for the grill. Great height on the coals for super hot sear temperature. Great weld on the water channel. Easy to clean drip tray. I’ve had some really delicious food off this puppy. I like to do sous vide and then sear on the grill. I’ve found that for 1x steaks, the chimney works great. But when I’m doing like a tri-tip, or multiple steaks, it’s just too small a surface and it requires a lot of micromanaging. This gives such a large sear surface that I can really quickly move through searing a lot of meat. Great product.

  37. 5 out of 5 S’nS Plus is a total game changer!

    Matt / vwengguy

From Low & Slow pulled pork to Searing steaks .. the S’nS Plus is the one Weber Kettle tool that does it all ! Even something as simple as rotisserie chickens come out better with super crispy skin using the same amount of coals I normally used with 2 charcoal baskets! The rotisserie chicken cooks faster and in the end even uses less charcoal! The build quality is unbelievable and truly Value for your Money!! This is not something that will rust out in a few years.. this is the type of quality product that will last a lifetime! One of the most important benefits of the S’nS is the Air Gap to the kettle that Protects the enamel from the damage caused by high heat cooks! To me this is a Super Plus that I value.

I held a steady 225-250 with almost no need to make adjustments throughout the entire 5 hour cook. I had over 1/2 coals left in the slow and sear, and used about 3 1/2 chunks of hickory. Just an amazing product, and the drip and griddle pan pairs perfectly.

I love this product. If fills a huge void in my charcoal grilling. I’m a big proponent of indirect cooking, and it’s particularly difficult to do with any charcoal grill. Keeping the charcoal and heat to one side is hard to do. I came across this product in a review video on YouTube and purchased it immediately. Quality is out of this world, feels like it will last a lifetime. I have been using it every weekend for months and works great. I have some other products in mind for future purchase. Amazing product. If you have a Weber grill, this is a MUST HAVE! You’ll never go back to placing meat over the flames…….

Watched the video and decided to take a chance… The product was very solidly built. Keeps coals hot as long as needed. Works great!

  48. 5 out of 5 Fantastic piece of equipment

    Keith Bru

This piece of gear expands the capabilities of your kettle grill substantially, allowing you to really experiment and screw around with different fuels, woods, and configurations. It kicks ass, and is built like an old soviet tank. You won’t be disappointed

  50. 5 out of 5 I hate the Slow N' Sear

    guitstik kustoms

After years of building a retaining wall out of aluminum foil to give me a two zone cooking area I ran across Baby Back Maniac’s video and decided to give it a try.The water trough is the game changer as it helps to regulate the temperature and adds a little moisture into the smoke. My aluminum foil contraption did give me indirect heating but the Slow N’ Sear stepped it up a notch and made my cooks that much better.

  51. 5 out of 5 Slow N' Sear Works, It's Everything They Say It Is

    Mark Wilkerson

First of all let me say that this is a heavy duty quality product. It is everything it’s advertised to be, 304 stainless steel & made in the USA. It’s built to last.
I have always loved my Weber Performer but struggled to make it into the smoker I wanted it to be. The Slow N’ Sear solved that issue. I have used it to smoke ribs & pork butt with great results. I am still shocked at the moisture retention & the deep rich color that the Slow N’ Sear produces. Cooking steaks using the cold grate technique is a home run. It produces the best steaks I’ve ever eaten.
Buy this product it’s worth it.

  52. 5 out of 5 Last accessory

    Al Washington

After using this a few times, I am sure this is the last smoker accessory that I will ever need. I have two other dedicated smokers, but this makes me just want to keep the Weber kettle and get rid of the others. With kettle properly modified to seal for smoke and temp control, this thing makes it feel like you are cheating.

  53. 5 out of 5 Great improvement for my Weber!

    Chris

Fantastic product. Makes grilling on my Weber performer better in many ways over the baskets that came with it.
I did notice some slight warping on the bottom but I’m assuming that can be expected with extreme temps.

  54. 5 out of 5 Grilling is fun when you are in control!

    Doug Brown

I had a great birthday this year! Went from hoping I’d get a cook right, to having the tools to be certain. Got the SNS Plus from my wife ( I actually did the ordering ) and when I got a $25 Amazon gift card I immediately put it toward a Maverick 732 Adrenaline special remote 2 probe thermometer. No more guessing! And very little wrestling with the vents to achieve and maintain temperature targets.

I’d urge people to watch all the videos in the series, and urge Dave and Justin to keep up the good work. Love the science behind the technique. In two months, have done 4 baby back cooks, 3 ribeye cooks, 1 Tomahawk ribeye, 8 or 10 crispy chicken thighs, three extra-thick bone-in pork chops, several smoked, stuffed jalapeño smokes, burgers and pork tenderloins. Wife loved them all except the last. “Not enough flavor; stick to the chops”

I’m a St. Louisan, and there is a cut here that locals call pork steaks. Pork butt, cut into steaks. If looking for ideas for future videos, you’ll get lots of views from around here.

Also love to learn some fish techniques on the SnS.

This weekend going to take a stab at smoking a chuckie a la Philly recipe from the vids! If I do two, I may try one on the SnS and one on my other Weber using a snake. Photos on the FB page. Great product, guys!

  55. 5 out of 5 Beautifully made product.

    Nem

Wow, the Slow and Sear does a great job performing a variety of functions. It makes all sorts of indirect cooking a cinch, and the searing is an added plus. It’s nice and beefy as well. Keep up the good work.

  57. 5 out of 5 Slow N Sear a Weber Must Have Product

    Doug Mead

This is a terrific product. It makes a Weber kettle a first choice of grill/smoker product. Adrenaline is a first rate company. Great and very responsive customer service. It has set a standard of Weber add-on products. Just search you-tube for the slowNsear and you will find lots of examples of it’s use and positive results and comments. They’ve earned their rep. Excellent company and products. I got the Drip and Griddle pan as well. Very fine product,. Have only used it as a drip pan so far but I have no doubt it will do a great job, like a “flattop” for onion/peppers, burgers, bacon, eggs, and whatever else a “flattop” is good for.

  58. 5 out of 5 Slow 'N Sear

    Mark Kish

In the past I had tried different methods and equipment to slow cook on the Weber kettle. By far this is the greatest accessory ever to turn your grill into a smoker. Quality materials and build.

  59. 5 out of 5 The heat of summer kept us from using the slow 'n sear as much as we had hoped

    Roberta Worley

I originally bought this for my husband. He was so busy with our business, that I decided to try my hand at it. I had just bought four pounds of tri tip from Costco. YouTube really helped me to understand how to use the Slow ‘n Sear plus I found a recipe that was a knockout! It was some of the best, if not the absolute best, steak we’d ever had and we eat our fair share of beef. The rub recipe I used is linked below. NOTE: I did not make the sauce because we don’t eat horseradish. The tri tip was perfect with just the rub. No regrets!

Oh, something I forgot to mention: for four pounds of tri trip I doubled the rub recipe. No oil necessary.
